MANILA, Philippines -- A suspected drug dealer who has long been under surveillance by the police yielded P3 million worth of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) during a raid on his house in Pasig City on Wednesday night.
Senior Inspector Roger Garcia, chief of the Eastern Police District’s Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Group, said they found some 300 grams of the drug in addition to ephedrine -- a chemical used in making shabu -- when they raided Ombai Mama’s house at Royal Villas in Barangay (village) Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.
Mama now faces charges for violating Articles 5, 11 and 12 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
